A poem for April 2015

The Long Way Home

Let’s take the long way home.

There’s no need to hurry.

This morning, as we set off,

We paused to watch the sun rise

And bring the world to life.

Now, we could take the downhill track

And be back before dark,

But let’s go by the ridge,

Linger at the lookout,

Hold hands and stand together

To watch the sun set.

Let’s take the long way home.
