MY WRITING

A poem for the month - August

Miraculous!
How many elements do you need to make a universe?
Most say one hundred and eighteen.
Is that all?
Amazing!
How many ways can they be combined?
A limitless number of ways it seems.
Really?
Incredible!
Everything it this rapidly expanding whatever
Is made from one hundred and eighteen fundamentals
(Of course there is dark matter and dark energy,
but let’s forget about those because nobody really knows what they are.)
Now I’m not a religious man, but you’ve got to admit
it’s impressive
Miraculous even!
